Care Guide
Each print is produced using archival, ultra-white gamut inks on Hahnemühle German Etching paper, selected for its rich texture, colour permanence and stability. With thoughtful handling and considered framing, Haidi’s artwork will remain a beautiful addition to your collection for many years to come.
The guidance below outlines the simple steps that can help you maintain the integrity of your print.
Handling
To preserve the surface of the print, handle with clean, dry hands or handling gloves, and avoid touching the printed area. When moving an unframed print, hold it by the edges and support the paper fully from beneath to prevent bending or creasing. Keep the artwork inside its protective packaging until it is displayed or framed.
Display
To ensure the longevity of the print, it is best to avoid positioning the artwork in prolonged direct sunlight. While the archival inks and paper used for Haidi’s prints are designed for museum-grade durability, reducing exposure to strong UV light and extreme environmental conditions will help to preserve the integrity of the colours and paper over time.
Avoid hanging the print above air-conditioners, fireplaces and radiators, or other sources of heat or moisture. Choose a space with a stable, moderate humidity level and consistent room temperature.
Framing
Framed prints arrive mounted, framed and ready to hang. Archival, acid-free materials and UV-filtering glazing are used to protect the artwork long-term under normal display conditions.
If you choose custom framing, we recommend that you use an acid-free window mount to prevent discolouration. Glazing, whether you choose acrylic or glass, should have UV-filtering properties. A lack of UV-protection can cause the pigment and paper to degrade over time. Ensure that the glazing does not come in direct contact with the artwork, as this can result in adhesion or moisture-related damage.
The white margins around the printed area are intentionally included to allow for safe mounting and presentation. Trimming these margins may affect both the integrity and value of the print.
Storage
If your print is not being displayed, store it flat inside its protective packaging and within a rigid portfolio or folder to prevent creasing. Keep the artwork in a cool, dry environment away from direct light and fluctuating humidity.
